What is the difference between Inside Yoga and Inside Flow?

Inside Yoga is a very special and unique yoga style founded by Young Ho Kim. The 200 Hour Online Inside Yoga Teacher Training is the basic yoga teacher training in its entirety. It represents the foundation you need for all of your yoga practice. It includes alignment, Vinyasa Flow, Vinyasa Krama, adjustments, and teaching skills. Everything is part of Inside Yoga. Systematically it is built on 3 different pillars:

(1) Evolution: Inside Yoga is the opposite of traditional yoga, there is no Sanskrit – we speak the language our students speak. It is updated every year because we want to promote evolution. Inside Yoga alignment often contradicts the traditional yoga alignment. The main reason for that? The knowledge and science about anatomy constantly evolves – and so yoga needs to evolve as well.

(2) The Power of Music: The main goal of teaching is to reach the hearts of the students. Learn how to use the Power of Music in your class. There is no limit to the genre – what music reaches your heart?

(3) Inside Yoga philosophy "All you need is Inside": In the end, the feeling that the body is giving you is the feeling that is right for you. Your feeling tells you what is right for your body. You learn what is best for you. 



Inside Flow, on the other hand, is a specific interpretation of Vinyasa Flow with Inside Yoga techniques (like a sub-brand of Inside Yoga). It can be learnt on top of the basic Yoga Teacher Training just like a Yin Yoga Teacher Training, for example. During Inside Flow, the yoga sequence is built up during the class in harmony with the music, and at the end the final sequence is taught to a final song, making students feel different emotions on the inside. Just like in dance, in Inside Flow it is all about the count of 8. This predetermines how to breathe and how to flow through the asanas.  

Further, Inside Flow includes some asanas that are totally new like Flying Warrior. But if you know the principles of Inside Yoga, then Inside Flow will most likely be a lot easier for you because everything that is taught in Inside Yoga also applies to Inside Flow. And if you want to become an Inside Flow Senior Teacher, it is necessary to do the Inside Yoga Teacher Training.

Generally, you start as a Silver Instructor with the Inside Flow Academy, and then you can climb up the ladder, becoming a Gold Instructor with Inside Flow Academy Plus, and a Junior Teacher with the Inside Flow Junior Teacher Training. It is only possible to become a Senior Teacher and Pro Teacher by attending in-person trainings.
